CDC 103: CHM DPDCY CNSLG PRCTCM I

Students will experience an extended placement at an OASAS (Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services) licensed facility that provides substance abuse treatment. Emphasis will be placed on the organization of the agency and on services provided. Students are also required to attend a weekly seminar class, meet weekly with a Field Instructor and complete log reports. Corequisite: CDC 203. Pre- or Corequisite: PSY 102.

CDC 104: CHM DPDCY CNSLG PRCTCM II

Also, students are required to attend a weekly seminar class, meet weekly with a Field Instructor and complete log reports. Corequisite: CDC 204. Pre- or Corequisite: PSY 134.

CDC 271: SPECIAL STUDY PROJECT I

A special learning experience designed by one or more students with the cooperation and approval of a faculty member. Proposed study plans require departmental approval. Projects may be based on reading, research, community service, work experience, or other activities that advance the student's knowledge and competence in the field of chemical dependency counseling or related areas. The student's time commitment to the project will be approximately 35-50 hours.
