LSS 100: HONORS STUDIES INTRO SEMINAR

This course will introduce Honors Studies students to a Liberal Arts and Humanities education and its associated value. It will also introduce Honors students to all aspects of the Honors offerings as well as resources the college has to offer to facilitate student success and transfer to a four-year institution. The course's academic focus will be on applying critical thinking to reading and writing. It will also provide various workshops emphasizing campus leadership, research techniques, and transfer. Prerequisite: Acceptance to the Minor in Honors Studies

LSS 201: HONORS STUDIES CAPSTONE SEMNAR

This seminar culminates the Minor in Honors Studies by applying historical, sociological and literary analysis to a selected topic. Student independent research will be conducted and presented under careful supervision of one or more instructors. The course includes a minimum requirement of twelve (12) hours of service learning. Prerequisite: Current enrollment in the Minor in Honors Studies or permission of the Honors Coordinator or the Program Chair
